Nige was my tutor when I was studying Level 3 plumbing and heating, his expertise helped me understand the principles of how central heating wiring works and diagnosing faulty components on various plumbing systems including boilers.
During my time at collage I was nominated to take part in the apprentice of the year competition, Nige made sure I was prepared and ready for the challenges ahead. Now I work as an M&E/plumbing engineer.

Nigel has been working with us here at Oaklands college for the past 3 months. He has been working with the higher levels of the plumbing department, mostly with level 3 full time students and level 2/3 apprentices. Whilst Nigel has been here he has been an asset to the department; helping students with practical and theory assessments and training students to be ready for their assessments. Nigel has also puts lots of work in to improving some of our assessment bays, which has been very helpful. Nigel is a very friendly, approachable lecturer who is well liked by the team and students. He does not do unnecessary work. An example of this is that my toilet was making a banging in the pipes noise each time it was flushed.
